Just now getting into this blog thing.. Not sure what to do with it.. But here goes!

I have been doing some restorations and builds of whatever I am asked to restore. Although I like to see original cars, I appreciate someone stepping up to the task of saving any of the collectible cars that have been languishing in a back yard or garage.

Preservation of any car that has a place in our history can be a monumental task. I am honored to be a part of the process of bringing cars back to life!

Glad to have you onboard here. I have to agree that the color on your Chevy is really nice. What do you call it?

Saving the Early Iron is getting more difficult for city dwellers. I retired in Houston but I am limited to a two car garage and NO parking around the house. I found 40 acres of trees in Arkansas where Nobody can see the house from the road so I am up to about twenty cars, trucks and tractors, only about 6 are runners. I buy them locally or nearby on Ebay. The only one that has left so far in a 46 Ford PU that I traded for a 37 Chevy PU. There is nothing on the Chevy worth saving but it looks good along the driveway.

Say Rod, since this is how you make a living I could sure use a suggestion for what to do about my tired 216's and 235's. Do you typically rebuild them yourself of get replacement short or long blocks and if you do, from whom? I pick up a nice 59 Chevy Longbed 235 that blows oil by the quart and my 53 shortbed with a 216 worries me when I go more than 50 miles from home.
