News Flash: I have found the next hot collector car trend
After 30 years of production (has it really been that long?) the last Yugo is scheduled to roll off of the assembly line in Kragujevac, Serbia later this month it was announced earlier today. As many of you may recall, the Yogo rolled into American back in the late 80's bringing with it an incredibly low price tag of under $5,000.
As you can imagine, the low price coupled with...well, I guess that was all this car really had going for it was the low price tag. Built on a Fiat platform, the car was clearly not know for its performance. However, over the last three decades, 794,428 units were produced representing a major achievement for low cost engineering and a little Serbian ingenuity.
Does anyone feel that the Yugo will one day be a collector car? I have a pocketfull of change and just might be interested in purchasing a garage full!
