1985 Buick Regal coupe VIN 1G4CM47A6FH423213
I bought this silver-and-gray Regal Limited coupe from my uncle in the late 1990s, possibly 2000, as a winter beater. (It had been owned by two of his sisters for several years before I bought it.) The body wasn’t in too bad of shape, but it had the typical rear frame rot starting and a rod knock. I drove it at highway speeds for at least one winter with the knock and it was fine. It sat while I found time to sell it in spring, and when I did sell it, the car needed an oil change…bad. The buyer was warned but drove the car with the old oil and eventually let it sit in downtown St. Paul where it was eventually towed. I received notices that “my” car had been towed and was going to be auctioned, but I didn’t buy it back due to the now-bad engine. Did anyone save it and turn it into a street warrior? The tank car sure looks weird because of its radiators and very long engine, and also it doesnt look like it has a bad engine to me...I'm sure someone will save it for some kick a** ride. :D |
