I bought this 1968 Skylark two-door hardtop in September 1996 out of St. Paul, Minn., as a replacement to a once-loved 1969 Skylark Custom two-door hardtop I had sold two years earlier. The 1968 Skylark was the typical green color with black seats out of a later Skylark and the original green door panels, headliner, etc. I was told the car came out of California and had a 1971 or ‘72 Buick 350 engine in it with the two-speed Buick auto tranny. I remember it being a very solid Skylark, particularly for this era. It did have rust over the rear wheel openings, however, and I sold it to someone who planned to restore it.
Anyone know where it is and if it was ever restored? Follow this link to a pic in my gallery:1968 Buick Skylark http://community.oldcarsweekly.com/www.oldcarsweekly.com/gallery/view_gallery.one?gal_id=1 Angelo Van Bogart |
