This photo was taken in Louisville, Kentucky outside the Kentucky Public Library at the corner of Third & York streets. The delivery truck is parked on York Street and was owned by the Goodwin Preserving Company, which advertised jellies, preserves, mincemeat and apple butter. Family members have identified the man driving the truck, but they doubt if information found on back of the photo correctly identifies the truck. Can you help? It has solid rubber tires on the rear and balloon tires on front. It also has a fixed universal joint as opposed to a chain. |
