Need some help in identifing this car, builder, any old pictures etc.

To our best knowledge;

It is sitting on a shortened 34 ford chassis, has 34 ford front fenders as inner fenders.

They hand formed the balance of the front sheetmetal.

About one third of the roof, 1/3 of the doors, front part of the cowl and rear window are

54 Studebaker, highly modified,

The balance of the rear is all hand beat panels.

Had a stick trans originally and was a V-8 car. also had a hood scoop at one time with

headlights that mounted in the nose and bracketed off the 34 ford straight axle.

It started life a bright red with white and aluminum int.

It has been painted 4 different colors since the original red, this leads us to believe that it was

used quite a bit and shown quite a bit.

It was purchased from the Iowa area, Pella.

The 55 GM concept Buick Wildcat II looks a lot like this car in the front end.

Please, do need some help in fuyrthering information,

Till the next time,

Thanks for the compliment on the car Angelo.

It was by shear chance that we even found the car.

I was scrolling ebay looking at cars, in the background of another car pictured

I caught a glimpse of this car.

Needless to say, we cut a deal and purchased it.

What we found most intriguing about the car was it's size, weight and basic design.

Most back then were building gigantic and heavy land yachts, this builder broke away

from the norm and created/crafted a unique style.

Sure hope somebody can remember it and clue us in on details and the builder.

Till the next time,

looks like it was originally a Ford car but it was customized for a muscle car... I can tell it from the fog lights and its body kit...

Joy,

It is not from the muscle car era.

It was built around the early/mid 50's.

The frame and inner fender wells are 34 Ford.

Do thank you for commenting on the car.

We keep plugging away in hopes of finding the builder or?

Don't you live in Chicago?

We are starting what will probably end up being a book on the 1935 Harris FWD Streamlined Speciale.

Way coool car Joy, perhaps the first true futuristic car built.

Need to research the B. F. Harris family at the University in Champaign together with other sources in the south area's of Chicago.

Would pay for your time!
