My other car is a 2003 mitsubishi lancer evolution. Turbo All wheel drive from the factory. :) |

Hi paul, Just saw your post. There are some of us who do drag their old cars. I belong to a nostalgia drag racing club, 1974 and older cars. Some of the cars in the club easily qualify for "show level" cars, but they race. Many of the ones that are stock appearing run as fast as the 11's. Others that are more race prepped run in the 10's. We have a class for faster race cars that run between 7.5 and 9.75 seconds. Some of these also would qualify as restored cars (execept for the roll cages and slicks). There are other organizations up and down the east coast that race nostalgia cars and they are beautifully restored cars. Additionally, Hemmings Motor News runs several drag races every year at places like Lebanon valley NY, and Englishtown NJ that they call Musclepalooza. Lots of muscle cars race at these, ranging from street cars to all out race cars. Check out my site page and go through the photo galleries and videos. Glad to have you aboard. maybe we can get more interest in nostalgia or vintage drag racing? Rich |
