I love to look at cars that are sitting neglected in scrap yards. In fact, one of my favorite things in Old Cars Weekly is when they run stories of Ron when he is out on the road hitting all the scrap yards. I'd like for all of you to post photos of your scrap yard finds for all of us to enjoy. Here are a few from my collection. |

ENJOYED YOUR PICS. I ALSO LIKE THE ARTICALS ON ALL THE SALVAGE YARDS. I WISH THERE WERE SOME AROUND HERE I COULD GO SEE. |

I wanted to post these links from a few of the most recent Salvage Yard stories that we have ran in Old Cars Weekly. Ron does a great job of shooting photos of the yards when he writes them up. I challenge all of you to post more photos and information of your favorite salvage yards. Remember, before long they could all be history... Enjoy, Matt Indiana Salvage Yard Going...Going...Gone! |

Just wanted to respond to the post that Matt put up about salvage yards. I grew up going to Bill's junkyard in R.I. with my Dad. Every Saturday night after church we would take a ride by to see if he had gotten anything new. I always remember the 52 ford truck you could see over the fence. When it was Bill who owned it he new where every car was. He would say go 5 rows down take a left and it is 4 cars in on the top. It was a shame what became of all the cars when he died. I still go there sometimes but it will never be the same. Alot of cars got crushed from that yard. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. |

Love the pics! They may be lovely to look at but sad to see the car go down the drain... Saw some vintage VW on the farm (with vintage volkswagon parts installed and all) and it's a nice site to see... (though it's in the backyard of the farm) I'd better post some of it soon. |

One of our guys found an old "breaker's yard" that is in the process of being shut down, as the owner has passed. We spent an enjoyable afternoon checking out what was there & buying parts. No car was salvageable, but some of the trim pieces were in good shape.
We posted more pics on our club website (sorry, but you'll have to cut & paste)- www.norfolkn.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2...
