IS VW still looking to build a Micro-Bus

A few years back I started to get excited when I read that VW was looking to start building a new and improved version of the classic micro-bus. As I recall it was something along the lines of the new VW bugs, similar to the classic, but with an updated look and feel. Does anyone know if this is still going to happen?

I read that the micro bus project was back on. But I am not sure when they are planning to produce them.

It would certainly make more sense than VW selling their rebadged Chrysler minivan, yet another marketing blunder of the moment. IMO the Chrysler minivan is probably a superior vehicle, but is certainly not a VW and I can't imagine a real VW buyer being interested or a VW dealer wanting to deal with it. Todd |
