Alright folks, let's hear what you think... In a recent OCW article (CLICK HERE to check out the article) I was amazed to learn that Robert Cerame, a Florida-based car collector whose father had been an Edsel dealer, had decided to get creative...and bring the Edsel line back from the dead. Using a 2008 Crown Vic, Cerame figured out a way to mount Edsel's trademark "Horse Collar" grille. He even took his creation one step farther and customized the rear of the car as well. Be sure to check out the photos and let me know...Should the Edsel be left for dead? |

Sorry Arkeditor, bad timing on this idea. If Mercury and Pontiac are at risk right now the Edsel has no chance. I admired the 2008 "Edsel" in the article though. |

It may be a great idea to bring the Edcel alive after years of being out of the line but for me I think it's best to put it aside for the recent economy for now has caused the entire car industry a great deal. I heard most about the car and I think It has some great features aside from its performance and Replacement Engines used, but it is indeed bad timing for the car. |

I have seen in my area what i think is a subaru s.u.v. of somekind that the front end design reminds me somewhat of edsel styling. It has what comes close to what you could call a grille in the center. I wonder if their styling inspiration came from the old edsel or studebaker. Has any one else noticed it? I wish I had a picture to post! |
