Hi Joy.I do not do well with this web site.This is Bob who replyed to about the 66 caddy convertible.as of today 8/1 I still do not have a title.Do you have any other ideas? I would greatly appreciate them.Many thanks Bob.

The cash 4 clunkers only goes back to 1985 models. The MPG ratings started then and I guess that rating is how they determine if the new car gets better MPG.

I do not see how this helps a) new car sales, b) pollution EPA controls?

People driving old cars, are doing it because that is what they can afford.

EPA controls are already on these 1985 and newer models.

The worst thing happened last year when junk steel was at $400/ton and the old cars were being driven in to the crusher.

Several junk yards went out of business, on purpose around here and made lots of money, but the really old car supply dried up.

If gas stays at $4 level that will bring new car buyers in for economy cars, and we know who controls the oil futures. Big banks control 80% and the government owns the banks now.

I will always have some kind of "Old" car.
Friends in Germany marvel at the lack of anything old driving around. Seems the taxes go higher each year over there.

I hope it doesn't catch on here!
