LaJoie's Used AUto Parts 2007 Junket

The Mass Cruisers Junk Yard Junket for 2007 was to Lajoie's Used Auto Parts in Garner, MA. Yard co-owner Bill Rahaim, a former body shop owner, has turned the back office into an antique porcelain sign restoration shop. He and his partner, who handles the e-Bay sales do their best to sell the old timers as whole cars before parting them out and there were some interesting projects available for restoration.

Curboy's Used Auto Parts Junk Yard

Curboy's in Sturbridge MA was a 135 acre paradise for Junk Yard Junkies and one of our car club's favorite junkets.Unfortunately time, development and the price of steel was too much to pass up and the yard was closed for good in January of 2007. These photos were taken in April 2003, April 2004 and our last junket there in early December of 2006.

Hall's Junk Yard Junket

The Mass Cruisers annual fall Junk Yard Junket for 2008 was to Hall's Garage in North Scituate, RI where there are cars dating from the late 30's waiting to be adopted. Yard owner Harry said the 20 acre site is about 85% Mopar and, as you'll see from the slide show, there are enough GM, Ford, Studebaker and trucks of all stripes to tempt your project needs. It was a very cold November Saturday the morning we were there, in the low 20's, but we'll be back again when the temperature is more tolerable.
