    Need research help in Chicago, Urbana & Champaign area, Illinois

    Guys and Gals,

    My plea is for help in researching the Harris FWD Streamlined Speciale.

    There is an enormous amount of material in the Historical Societies in the above mentioned area's about the Harris Family and this remarkable Futuristic Car.

    I have researched this very important car, on and off, for around 22 years

    It has come time to finish my work and release it to media sources that are waiting and desire to do full stories on the car and the builder, era, 1933-1936.

    It is truly a fascinating Automobile sporting car and story.

    If you live, in or about the area's mentioned above, sure could use some help!!!!

    Thank you so much for the offer.

    Alas though, the research and interviews would have to be in Champaign Illinois for the most part.

    The Proffesor's from the college actually have their students do thesis like essay's on the Harris Family.

    One such example of the Harris family was turned in and titled, hospitals, libraries and Banks.

    Did find out through SCCA archives that Benjamin played a very important role with the SCCA , held two offices and assisted in forming the regulations for SCCA racing.

    This man and his family were phenominal, even sitting at dinner, at their home, with Pres Roosevelt.

    Gordon Buerhig ( A.C.D. ) was best friends with Ben until their deaths.

    By the way Bob, how did it pan out on the title issue on the Cadilac?
    Do so hope that it has been taken care of.
